Karen Brown Stovell

Karen is the founding Executive Director of Forward Ever Sustainable Business Alliance – the first urban affiliate of 80+ networks of the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies. BALLE is the fastest growing business alliance of values aligned entrepreneurs in North America, and LOCAL FIRST business networks in North America. Her experience also includes working as the Marketing Director at the Newark Urban Enterprise Zone, a state-wide program with the mission of creating jobs, bringing new business prosperity to the city, and raising the quality of life in the city, she led several major economic development projects and managed all marketing efforts for the agency. Karen is a recent graduate of the Prudential Foundation’s Nonprofit Executive Fellows Program at the Institute for Ethical Leadership at Rutgers Business School.
